Batik Tulis Purbayan – Batik patterns come in many variations and colors with interesting details that make many people like them. To be durable, you need to take special care, batik cloth will shrink and the color will fade if you are not careful.

Here are some ways to make your batik last longer, both in style and color. So no need to go back and forth to buy batik.

• Separate soaked batik from other garments made

If you don’t want your batik to be colored in another color, it’s best to follow these rules. Not only that, you also need to combine colored batik in one container.

• Do not wash batik in the washing machine, especially if the batik is hand-painted and stamped

Using a washing machine can damage the fibers of the fabric. Keep the fibers in good condition by hand and the color will not fade.

• It is better to avoid using detergent to wash batik cloth

Chemicals in detergents can damage and quickly fade the color of batik. We recommend using shampoo because less chemical content will make batik softer.

• You also can’t squeeze the batik before drying it

So that the cloth does not fold, just shake the batik for a while. Squeezing damages the fibers of the fabric, making it elastic.

• So that the color does not fade, avoid drying batik in direct sunlight

Let the batik dry in the shade. Or, you can dry the batik to dry. Drying batik in the washing machine is not recommended.

• Batik should not be in direct contact with hot irons

Before ironing, coat the batik with newspaper to avoid discoloration. If you are going to use laundry deodorant, you should do the same.

Well, with these ways, you don’t have to worry about the batik being damaged. If you want it to last even longer, avoid storing it in a cupboard with camphor, it’s better to store batik in plastic.
